[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't have a lot of choices since I have a very narrow opening in my cabinetry for the fridge and this fit the bill. I like the fridge on top and freezer on the bottom design. Everything is easy to reach. The French doors work well in the narrow kitchen. The unit seems to keep both the fridge and freezer sections pretty much exactly at the temperature at which they are set. All in all, I am very pleased. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the ice maker has gotten off to a slow start. At about two weeks in it is still making very small ice pellets and not in great quantity. Perhaps the installer did not properly purge the water line. I will give it more cycles and see if it improves before I call for service. Over all though, I am pleased.. Purchased this unit to replace an eight year old GE Cafe side by side in which the compressor failed. Reserearched the new model as regular GE, Cafe and Profile. Except for the handles, there was absolutely no signifant difference in the three models. Swapped the handles from dead fridge to match other Cafe appliances in our kitchen. Perfect fit! Fair price for the new regular GE unit. Profile and Cafe models were priced at double the price of basic GE unit. Same compressor and components. Might be a difference in other appliances or refrigerators from basic to Cafe, but not on this side by side. Otherwise just had the new refrigerator delivered and assume it should work for years. I think it has a compressor with an inverter, but can find no information to confirm that fact. I understand the inverter causes the compressor to run at variable speeds for greater effeciency, but just learned of this feature from the repairman trying to fix my Cafe unit. I love my new refrigerator! Not crazy about the black color and already had a scratch on it. Piano black paint damages so easily. The refrigerator itself, so far, is good. It works well. The ice maker/crushed ice works and it looks good in our kitchen. However..... I gave it a 3 star because of some mishaps we have had since it was delivered. 1st - There was a 4 hour window when it was supposed to be delivered. I was told I would get a call when they were 30 min away. Never got a call they just showed up. Ok not a HUGE deal, but with 4 kids under 8yo it was annoying. 2nd- I was told it would be completely set up. The guys almost dropped it, hit my wall and left a dent in the wall, plugged it into the outlet and left. 3rd- there is a dent in the front door of the refrigerator, about dime sized. I paid for a NEW fridge. Not used.... So I called Wayfair, they called Samsung and connected me and they said they could give me $100 to compensate or I could call Wayfair and return/start the process all over. (This is 2Hours and 10min after being on hold!!) ‍♀️ Seriously?
