We just put this together and really like it! The assembly did take awhile for my husband to do, but he didn't run into any issues. I do wish some of the spaces had holes drilled into the back for wires for speakers and the like, but we can always do that ourselves. The opening of the clear door is a little bit awkward with no handle- but we pull on the metal part sticking out and that works just fine (and we can add a knob/handle if we really want to). For the price, it is perfect for my needs. The assembly was challenging due to the number of pieces that hold it together. The directions had pictures, but some narrative would be helpful. I am no youngster and not the strongest, but I put it together by myself and with rest stops subtracted from the equation, I was able to get it together in about 5 hours. Again, for the price, it was fine. I had ordered Wayfair assembly but due to some hiccups in shipping I could not get that part coordinated. I've tried every trick I know to get the hinges on the top cover to work and I just don't see it happening. It seems to be a poor design. The hinges work fine with one or both disconnected, but bind and fight each other with both attached. I am at a loss; the top cover will remain up with the hinges attached or down with them detached. Additionally, the three-tiered shelf on the left side is a quarter inch short on width to hold a record. Why? It is a record player stand, why wouldn't the shelf fit a record? How could a 0.25" gap not be gained somewhere? Do not get this unit. I would return it if it wasn't such a pain. To return something like this, it has to disassemble and boxed it back up.
