This is a real wood bookcase, and it’s incredibly solid! The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The shelf was so heavy that it shipped in two boxes. I was a bit disappointed that it arrived on separate days, but I was excited to assemble it right away. The only complaints I have are a few minor things. The little stickers that cover the holes don’t match the color of the shelf. The inside top edge of the shelf wasn’t stained completely, and there are a couple of small nicks in the wood.. Pam.
