I have to confess that a year ago, when we did our kitchen remodel, I read up on reviews for this microwave and I was scared we were making a mistake in buying this microwave. I found several reviews that "slammed" the microwave for catching on fire, not working, or the handle ripping off. I specifically waited over a year to write this review so I could see for myself and give an honest review of the product. I am pleased to report I have had zero issues with the microwave. The only "complaint" I have with the microwave, is that it is a little hard to pull the door open. I do have to give it a good yank, but no problems. Maybe Murphy's Law will kick in and the handle will rip off now that I have written this review-- lol But I've been very happy with this product, as well as the dishwasher we bought (it's so quiet when it runs, we sometimes accidentally open it and get sprayed with water because we can't even tell it's on), and the cooktop. All have functioned as expected and no issues. I think the majority of happy people don't bother writing a review, and the squeaky wheels will always voice their concerns. It's good to let us all know about the problems, unfortunately they can overshadow the good experiences that don't ever get reported. We bought the microwave combo and dishwasher. Dishwasher broke within the first month, fixed with not issues but the stacking is useless. The microwave light is very dim and after 4 years the microwave just stopped working. We have had cheaper microwaves last many more years. I agree with everyone's comments, bosch is not the same quality, thus prices should reflect the basic quality. I will never buy a bosch dishwasher. Not sure what to do about the microwave.... We remodeled our kitchen and purchase an entire suite of kitchen appliances. We previously had Frigidaire Gallery and Bosch is leaps and bounds ahead. I love the remote access from my phone to pre-heat the oven and the convection settings. In particular, my wife likes the ability to set the bread dough proofing temperature to 85 F. Our principal complaint is that a number of the features are on "other" options, and just have numbers -- no descriptions. I guess we are supposed to memorize the manual? This is a bad user interface. A minor complaint is that it was quite difficult to get the lower oven to connect to the HomeConnect app. It took a number of tries, and an ample supply of swear words..
