Our queenfull size murphy bed can be easily folded into the wall when not in use, freeing up more space for your home or office. This bed is made of high quality MDF and plywood. It has a weight capacity of more than 1,000 pounds. The metal structure is coated with waterproof and rustproof black powder coating, and the lifting mechanism has been tested for more than 500 times. It is absolutely a perfect addition to your home.  Reminder: our product includes two cartons/packages, which may arrive on different days. Solid wall, brick or concrete walls are required for installing our murphy bed. Please ensure that the wall thickness is sufficient for the provided screws. Secure the bed firmly to the wall before operating the murphy bed.

I was so skeptical about purchasing this bed because of the price point. It was a really good price. And I was worried that it was going to be cheaply made or pieces broken when we got it, or it wouldn’t fit together the way it’s supposed to. It took my Handyman about eight hours to put it together. We are very satisfied with the Farmhouse Murphy Bed. The actual product is well represented online, including the color. It took my husband about 12 hours to assemble by himself. It would go a bit faster with a second person. There were a lot of pieces and he did follow the instructions which were well written. The only reason 4 vs 5 stars due to the following: assembly time (it still would take a while for 2 people to assemble) and the cabinet would look better with screw caps giving it a finished look. No one has slept on it yet, but assume it will be fairly comfortable for guests. We would have gone with a thicker mattress but followed the guidelines to make sure the cabinet would close. The slats seem to support the mattress. We hope the mattress does not slide around too much once someone tries to sleep on it. The bed does have to be weighted down to keep it from rising off the floor if no one is on the bed. See photos showing foot of bed not weighted down and weighted down with ankle weights. We plan to place a side table to offer a night stand. The small shelf looks a bit flimsy, so we will be cautious. I am not very tall and was able to open and close with ease. We took 3 days to assemble fully. Quality is nice, however, instructions are not always clear. Some steps should come before others for easier assembly. There are very limited written instructions which make it confusing. We had to drill holes in one piece ourselves to assemble properly. We were told to raise legs on the cabinet if installing on carpet, now the doors don't reach the top of the cabinet. Can't go back and lower them now, because the unit is attached to the wall. We added some padding in the door hooks to raise them a tad, now it's at least functional. More explanation is needed for a lot of these steps. Overall it will definitely serve it's purpose.. Susan. Product is made with real wood on the regular pressed wood that chips and break easyly. Just be prepared as it is not and easy assembles unit. There are a lot of pieces but they are well identified. The only thing I would have liked to see different is that all the nuts and bolts be packaged in individual bag not 2 or 3 mixed in the same bag. A few parts did not have the proper number on them but they were easy to identifie. Also, some parts are identical except for one that has a different number on it but they dont tell you to be carefull when you install it as it as some hard to see marks that you will need later on in the install to align a stopper of something else. If you did not notice these marks you could have installed that part upside down and you will have to disasemble part of the units to switch it to the proper side. Be prepared to spend at least 2 days on this assembly. Do not attempt to assemble yourself if you are not handy and have a lot of common sense in reading assembly manual.. Lili-anne. St-léonard, QC.
