Im happy I ordered these stoneware plates by Willem. These are very practical plates that can be used for dining or under houseplants to catch the water after watering. The lips on the plates are almost an inch high. We had prime rib on these plates with au jus and the lip held everything on the plate perfectly. I cant say enough good things about them!. Cindi. The plates are lovely. I have been looking for a set of plates that feel good in my hand. These seem to be the right weight and size for a regular sized place in my cabinet or hutch.
