A heavy-duty bed frame that will fit Queen bolt-on style headboards & footboards. You must have a headboard and footboard to use this frame. This frame requires a box spring or foundation. The queen-sized frame will have five (5) legs with the included center bar. The center bar for this frame is used side-to-side for queen bedding. This means this frame is not recommended for use with a split (2 pieces) box spring. The legs will adjust the frame height from 5 3/4" to 9 1/4" off the floor. The steel in this frame is a high strength, high carbon, hot-rolled steel. It is rolled using 97% recycled material producing a very strong and environmentally-friendly product. This frame utilizes a bolt-together assembly, which allows it to be adjusted to accommodate a wider variety of headboards and footboards. The frame simply bolts together through slots and holes in the rails with the provided hardware and tools at the correct width for the bedding being used. The brackets for the headboard and footboard can be quickly mounted to the frame using the provided tools and hardware. Well, the bed is gorgeous. It smells great, like pine. It's solid and sturdy and easy to put together. But I'm confused. I have a normal full size (52/53-ish inches) mattress and box spring. This bed is a normal full size bed frame. I put it together correctly. But I have inches of space left where you can see the slats: The box spring/mattress don't fit snugly into the frame. It doesn't look nice. I'm contemplating returning this, but I'm not sure what I can do after I've already set it up. I think my mattress might run on the small side of a "full variation," as I now understand that mattress can slightly vary by size.
