A very well made chest which arrives very well packaged. I have the white which is a creamy white with slight rubbings of brown on some edges. It is tastefully distressed, nothing overt or fake looking, just a gentle, sophisticated piece. The three middle drawers are on metal glides, the side doors open and close smartly. The two top "drawers" on either side are not really drawers. They do not open but they extend the space in the side doors below them. There is an adjustable shelf within the side door openings so an item on the shelf can be very tall, going up into that open space. The drawers and side door spaces are nicely finished inside.. Always such fast shipping with Wayfair, even during this horrible virus, so A+ for that. This is a lovely cabinet and is perfect for my family room to keep my granddaughter's books organized. The design on the outside is beautiful, which is the reason I purchased the piece. However, the inside was very sloppily put together. It doesn't affect the use of the cabinet, but being a perfectionist, it annoys me to see such sloppy work inside. I am keeping the cabinet because I love it and will fill in with caulk myself to try and improve the inside. I would have given 5 stars being I love it and want to keep it, but the company that manufactures it doesn't deserve 5 starts with the inside of a cabinet like that. This is a lightweight but sturdy little cabinet. It comes completely assembled, which is what I wanted. And it is a perfect entryway piece. Lots of storage inside, but looks very elegant on the outside. It was slightly damaged in shipping (FedEx’s issue, not Wayfair’s) but Wayfair’s customer service was right on a resolution as soon as I contacted them, so everything turned out great. This is a stunning chest that looks great in our dining room! However, the shipping on it was abysmal. It was poorly packed (not Wayfair's fault, but the manufacturer). First one came in such bad shape, Fed Ex didn't even deliver it. Second one had broken corners and splits in wood. Third one had a few issues, but much less. Wayfair was great in standing behind their product and sent a very qualified furniture refinisher to repair it with the understanding that if I was not happy, I could still return it. I am fussy, but was very happy with the job the refinisher did and kept the chest. Looks great, fits great in the space, and gives me some great extra storage. So while it took awhile to get everything squared away, I was very happy in the end. Kudos to Wayfair's customer service team...they were perfect and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy!!.
