This is a a really nice set. I love that the color is more of an old penny color than a rose gold color. They do have a satin finish so not shiny or dull. They are excellent quality. Classical design, simple but pretty, easy to clean and store, good weight--this was a great value for an everyday-use flatware set. I read some complaints here before I bought them about dishwasher-spotting on the knives but...a) i haven't found this to be the case, even using my ancient 20+ year old dishwasher; b) unless you have colored plastic or round handles, what flatware doesn't spot? c) The manufacturer recommends hand-drying them at the end of the dry cycle ends if you're having company over & want perfection but, d) for daily use, my family wouldn't care even if they did spot.
