Im so glad I purchased this bed! I wanted a bed with storage and this delivers! Ill try to be as detailed as possible so hopefully this helps someone. The frame arrived quickly in 3 separate heavy boxes. Assembly was an easy, but lengthy process. It took over 6 hours with one person, a power drill, and no rush. There are detailed instructions, clear labelings for each piece, and organized hardware. Just make sure you have plenty of room to lay out pieces during assembly. I love that the bed sits flush with the floor so I dont have to worry about toys or dust getting trapped under it. Ive been using this bed for over a week now and so far it seems very sturdy since it holds up to two toddlers jumping on it. To note the “white” IS a slightly off-white with distressed detailing. I love the two sizable drawers and deep cubbies on each side of the bed. The drawers slide well and can hold quite a bit. The drawers measure 21in W x 6in H x 11in D. The cubby measures 16in W x 9in H 12in D. (Rough estimates but I included pictures) The inside headboard storage is a bit over 5 inches deep, which isnt much but good enough for hiding chargers, tablets, a box of tissues, etc. My mattress is 12 inches tall so the tilt-out wont open fully, especially with pillows, but its still functional. The upper shelves are 5 12 inches deep with the headboard storage providing an edge. The plug-in is located in the middle of the bed on the bottom shelf and has two, 3-prong outlets, a USB port, and a C-charger port. There are several cord access holes (one behind each ‘section’ and on top of the connecting boards) throughout the headboard so you can charge from anywhere without having cables everywhere. The middle top shelf is easy to knock off so I recommend using the screws to secure it to the adjustable pegs. The lights in the top of the headboard are pretty, with several colors and functions (see picture of remote). You can adjust the brightness, but I wouldnt say its bright enough to use as a reading light or to replace a lamp. Great night light though. After considering numerous guest bed options, happy that I chose this Twin XL daybed with trundle. It did take several hours to put together, but i studied instructions carefully, took my time, and had assistance from a helper when needed. The metal frame is sturdy and attractive. A 10” XL Twin mattress is on the way for the top. “Test” sleeping on the raised trundle with a new 8” gel memory foam mattress from Wayfair was very comfortable, better than I expected, and no noticeable squeaking. With a thick mattress pad to give a little “fluff” to the “firm” mattress, it still slides easily under the main frame. The trundle has two screws that fit into slots on the main frame to create a “King” for two adult guests. I hope to minimize the 2” difference in mattresses with different thickness of mattress pads. I just set this bed up and I’m happy with it so far. The height of the bed is perfect due to the slope in my ceiling to the wall, and it looks well-proportioned in the room. The upholstered headboard looks great in person and gives the space a clean, elevated feel. Assembly was straightforward and everything lined up as it should. Once assembled, the bed feels very solid and stable with no creaking or movement. The upholstery fabric is soft to the touch, but it is on the thinner side, which I actually don’t mind since it still looks smooth and tailored. The frame itself feels sturdy and well constructed. The only issue I had is that my order did not include the charging station that was listed. I’ve reached out to customer service about the missing piece, but even without it, I’m very satisfied with the bed overall. While time consuming, the bed itself isn't hard to put together. If you have help you'll definitely finish faster. Took me an hour and I'm a woman. Only one flaw; the plugs are positioned in a way that two phone chargers can't be plugged together. One phone charger and my MacBook's plug can't coexist either, could've easily been solved by separating the outlets a tiny bit. Such a small detail that could've made this bed perfect otherwise. First photo, phone charger barely connects (it's lifted). Second photo, phone charged and MacBook charger can't be plugged together, as you can see the MacBook charger is making a false contact (no power).
