Eli Sonder paints in a tactile manner, building and removing layers using labor-intensive techniques. Trained at ArtCenter, Sonder developed a passion for pioneering new paint applications and processes that are reflected across her body of work. Inspired by textures, Sonder does not shy away from incorporating organic, uncommon materials into her paintings.
