I love the firmness yet softness of the mattress. What a great memory foam mattress! It was easy to unwrap and extend open. I waited 24hrs to allow full air expansion. It feels great, I slept like a baby, it instantly helped with my lower back issues ( guess I needed a new mattress). Do not buy this mattress. We’ve had it for over a year and I sleep so good that my school kids have had more tardies at school in this one year than in all of their school years combined. It’s sucks you in and waking up is hard. I sit down to read a book on my bed and before you know it it turned into taking a nap. Our little girls loves to come get in bed with us and it’s just awful. Neither of us want to get out of bed to put her back so now we have 3 of us in the bed. When my husband works out of town I’m so excited to get the bed to myself but inevitably 1 or 2 of our 5 kids will come get in bed with me. We’ve half heartedly been good at our morning scripture study become we just keep pushing snooze. It’s really a terrible mattress. I used to love mornings and now my favorite part of the day is bedtime. I blame the bed. It’s life changing for sure. My kids principal is not impressed when their tardy excuse is “our parents pushed snooze 6 times” and then they miss the bus. For an entire school year. Not cool. We’ve had a lot of mattresses and this one is for sure the only life changing one we’ve ever had. We have a big Tv room that our family can watch Tv in. But we congregate on our queen size bed and watch Tv in the master bedroom. 2 adults and 7 kids. It’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s like we aren’t even in charge anymore. So far, so great! The smell is not overt nor unbearable, and I am told that the mattress immediately inflated to its size. The first night it was okay for comfort, and excellent with cooling(I sleep hot normally) and the second night was perfect comfort. It is mediumfirm and normally I prefer firm but as this is my first memory foam, its perfect for me. I woke up refreshed and not in pain. I have severe back issues, surgery on Left L45S1 laminectomy when I was 29. Its a very nice looking mattress, as well. I was concerned about no longer having a pillowtop mattress, but I can say that I do not miss it. I will update in 98 days if I still love it or if I exchanged it, which is a wonderful Wayfair feature to have when you buy a mattress from them. This is what tipped me in their favor. Mattress came quickly and I was very happy with that. Still very happy with the mattress, and it has been 2 years. I got an adjustable base a year ago and it works good with that.
