Love this! Debated about the purchase for a while, but finally went for it, and my cats are in love. Its sturdy and assembly instructions are straight forward. Plenty of room for both of my large cats (about 12-14 lbs each). I added some finer screening around it to keep bugs out (just stapled it to the frame) and created a wood frame that fits inside my window so it can be secured without attaching it to the exterior of my house. Package arrived fast, but the box was completely damaged. All the hardware was scattered inside of the box. Instructions are included which made it easy to assemble. We are extremely pleased with the cat villa. It was not difficult to assemble; pre-drilled holes were accurately placed, all parts were present and the instructions were clear and thorough. The villa is made out of solid wood and the glass doors hang perfectly. There are multiple levels which are easy for the cats to navigate. I have two cats that use it. One cat is 17 lbs and the other is 10 lbs. They each have a fluffy pad on two of the levels to sleep on. I have placed a full size litter box with high sides on the lowest level. A bowl each of water and dry food are on the platforms. My cats are still getting used to the new routine of spending time in the villa but neither are stressed by being in it and usually are asleep in a short time. It’s nice. Quality is good not the greatest some parts came dented (wood and cage material) but overall good quality. Sooooo many screws to put together so get your drill ready took three people for us to build but definitely minimum is two. We reinforced the platforms with extra screws and few other areas. We were missing 7 main screws but nothing we couldn’t get at the stores. We have three heavy/fat cats. Overall I’d say if you would like a safe and spacious enclosure for your cats this is nice.. Just what I wanted.I have 2 cats and both have kittens and I needed one big enough I could put my cats with their babies in when I left the house on a 3 day vacation. Dont worry they have an automatic kitty litter box and they will have plenty of food and water as my friend will be over daily to check on them. It took us about 2 hours to put together but it was so worth it. I cant believe how well this was made, the screens that are on the walls are made of very good wire and the door in the front is nice too because I can actually fit right in there to feed them change their litter and most importantly love on them. I’ve been looking for one with kind of measurements and with some adjustments to the structure (for our needs and wants) this has been great. The instructions were pictures which I thought were a challenge, and a few pieces were cracked.. I used glue and packing tape for repair. But not with removing a star. I skipped the braces ( first steps so I could put it together in the house ) when my husband and I could assemble this outdoors I did end up replacing some of the upper parts with the same wire as the bottom. I purchased at tractor supply then replaced the two doors with just wire ( a good stapler is needed.) The big door at the bottom I added an extra lock so it gives me the access needed for “just in case” my cats would run in if I shake the treat jar. I got two pieces of strapping for the top to support the top by the roof and one for the center just for additional support. I am able to use power tools but I didn’t want to come up with the big design so honestly this is great! This catio is great. It’s pretty roomy, and it’s cute. I live in a townhouse, and don’t have anywhere for my cats to be outside, so this worked out for me to be able to give them a safe area.
