Better than I expected. Although the last thing my guys needed was another place to play, I just had to. I have a very tall empty wall that I thought would be great. I kept talking myself out of it, but then finally pulled the trigger. Happy I did as these are made very well. Solid wood thankfully as my guys are very firm and heavy...lol. LOVE LOVE LOVE! We shopped around for a long time before deciding to get these. They were a little pricey for us but definitely worth every penny! They’re heavy, sturdy and of great quality. I wanted a modern and minimal look and other cat perches looked cliche or tacky. The only difficulty really was being careful because it would scruff our white wall. But that’s not a huge deal that can’t be fixed. Our cat is 15lbs and he has plenty of space! He can fully lay out comfortably and the perches are strong and super sturdy! Can’t say enough good things about this. Very well made. Even looking up from the couch at the wood is so pleasing to the eye, it’s like a river of beautiful black wood. Too bad our kitty is a scaredy cat, we had to actually put him up there for him to try it and like it lol he’s still hesitant, so now we wait! Update worth every penny! Our cats LOVE their shelves. My photos have both the small Leaf shelf and the Branch shelf because we put them side by side. It has been two years, and the cats are not bored, but use them daily. Original review I got these ages ago, and then was too afraid to mount them. But we finally hired a guy who manages the hardware section at the local building supply store, and he mounted both shelves today! Levon the Brave is trying them out and I know all three cats will love these! The guy found the studs for this small one, but said the drywall is so thick that he did not use the studs for the long Lotus Leaf shelf. But I would not have done this on my own. Since we a have hardwood floor, we did not want either shelf very high, because both younger cats will jump straight down. Their joints need to be protected since they are 5 years old.
