The ceramic bowls themselves wash beautifully, but the plastic lids behave like most plastic lids do and tend to stain when used with tomato‑based soups or sauces. Because of that, I have been avoiding tomato dishes when packing lunches. Where these crocks truly shine is breakfast prep. They are the perfect size for yogurt parfaits layered with fruit and berries, and I love that the set includes four. It allows me to prepare several breakfasts at once and keep them ready in the refrigerator for the week. It must be cured before using it so that it does not leak.
