Chair met all my expectations. It is full size chair but the swivel allowed me to place chair in a small corner of bedroom, you can place chair within a 1/2 inch of corner wall & still swivel from side to side without chair touching your wall. Great chairs. Very neutral and would work in many rooms of my home. They are very firm (which I like) and deeper than I expected. So deep that I can sit cross-legged in them very comfortably (I’m 5’6” and 140lbs.) My husband is a very big guy and he likes them as well. Shipped quickly and all I had to do was attach the legs.. Very nice and sturdy chair. The colors are wonderful and would match many decor styles. Easy to assemble, just screw on the legs. Please try to keep the chair level so that it will screw on clean, otherwise you may have to do it numerous times. I would have given it 5 stars, but it had a very obnoxious chemical smell when I opened the box. I left in in an unused room and the smell subsided. Love the look and color of this set of chairs! They are beautiful and neutral matching the farmhouse feel of our house. We are using the chairs at two different desks as we needed comfy chairs while we are working from home. In my opinion the chairs have a nice wide seat which accommodates me but also my husband who is much larger than me. I will say my husband is incredibly tall and large, over 300lb which is the capacity of the chair. Initially when he sat in the chair you could hear it settlecreak. He has continued to use it for his 8-10 hour work day without concern so far. Definitely to be considered though if over capacity. I also want to note when initially unpacking the two chairs that came in one VERY large box I was confused as I couldn’t find the chair legs in the box. After further exploration I found that the felt bottom of the chairs in Velcro’s in which I found the chair legs tucked and inside a box. This can be seen in the attached pictures.. Mel. This review is for Martha Stewart’s Elmcrest Upholstered Side Chair in Gray. I ordered them on September 3rd and received them on September 9th. They arrived in individual large, yet easy to handle boxes- already assembled! And removing them from the box was super easy. These chairs are elegant! The gray is neutral but in certain light it can cast a green tint. It does not in the room they are in but did in a different room. The wood is light and very pretty. The chair is the perfect sitting height for a 30” table. As a shorter, adult female- I feel as if I finally fit at the adult table. They are sturdy and substantial. Moving them while sitting could be challenging- but this is not a deal breaker. A taller person wouldn’t think twice about it. LEVEL legs and NO rocking! The material is very soft and appears durable. This is such a fantastic style and so different than anything out there right now. I had no idea how this chair was going to be packaged for shipping. The box was pretty large, but managed to get it into the house on my own. It was completely assembled. All I did was turn it on its side and slide it out. The color was perfect for my room. I wanted the fabric to give my room that texture since the other furniture is leather. The seat is very comfortable and even has velcro on the underside of seat cushion so it will not slide out of position. The.low profile of the chair still allows sun to come in easily from the window. It was a little more expensive than some barrel chairs, but the sitting area will accommodate all body types who may choose to sit in chair. Others were not wide nor were they very deep. Considerations that were important to me. The box was easily cut up and put into recycling. I like the swivel feature that allows the occupant to talk to all in the room.
