Small size silver certificates were issued from 1928 to 1964, in denominations of 1, 5, and 10. Silver Certificates also known as Blue Seals and Blue Seal Notes are still legal tender but since 1968 they have been redeemable only in Federal Reserve Notes and may no longer be exchanged for silver. The 10 dollar silver certificate is housed in a protective 5 x 8 inch vinyl portfolio. The 10 dollar bill features Alexander Hamilton on the front and the US Treasury on the back. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Issued during World War II as an emergency issue after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Hawaii Brown Seal Note was a response to a possible Japanese invasion. The $1.00 United States issued currency has the word Hawaii stamped on both the right and left sides of the face of the bill. A large outline of the word Hawaii dominates the reverse of the bill. The silver $1.00 certificate is also recognizable by the brown treasury stamp and serial numbers that adorn the bill. The Hawaii Brown Seal Note is mounted in an acrylic frame and may be viewed from both the front and back sides. A certificate of authenticity is stamped on the matting.

The early 1930s were hard times for most Americans, some took any job they could get while others resorted to stealing. Minted in Philadelphia from 1793 to 1857, the large cent went through seven design changes on both the obverse and reverse. The large cent displays lady liberty on the obverse. The large cent varied from 27mm to 29mm in diameter. The large cent was not minted in 1815. Certificate of authenticity is included.

Featuring the Red Cross of the crusaders this tribute coin is layered in 24K gold. Each crusader displayed a red cross on either their shirt or amour to show a unified army. The inscription on the coin translates to read "in this you will conquer." The reverse side of the coin shows a knight on horseback. A fun piece to add to any collection. The tribute coin comes in a plastic capsule that rests inside a handsome display box.

Over 150 years old, the flying eagle cent was struck for circulation in 1857 and 1858. The one cent piece was minted of a copper-nickel composition and designed by James Barton Longacre. The obverse displays a flying eagle and the reverse shows a wreath of corn, wheat, cotton and tobacco leaves. The flying eagle was too difficult to strike because of the high relief and was replaced in 1859 by the Indian head penny. Certificate of authenticity is included.

Overall, I like the unit. It arrived next day and the setup was pretty straightforward. I have 5 other cabinets that are similar but not identical to this one so a lot of the setup was the same. I had to makemake 2 additions to make the cabinet work for me. First, I added legs. I don’t like cabinets that drag on the floor especially when you need a place to put the power cords. Second, I added lights to the glass shelves. The way the unit works. Anything on the two glass shelves device light but if you have a lot of things on those shelves, the light doesn’t fully transmit to the wood shelves. I’ve been reading that the lights tend to die within 30-60 days so let’s see if that happens to me it I have a backup plan to add new lights o I’ll be fine if it does. Overall, a descent unit. The legend of the silver mercury dime minted from 1916 to 1945 begins at a rental unit in new york city in 1913. Adolf Weinman a sculptor captured the beauty of his tenant, Elsie stevens while she sat for a portrait bust. Weinman was then selected by us mint to design the dime in 1916. It is said he used the bust of stevens as his inspiration when designing liberty for the obverse of the new dime. One look at the portrait of stevens and one can see the stunning similarities in the profiles. Weinman added the winged cap to enhance the strength of lady liberty in thought. The reverse shows fasces and olive branch to represent war, justice and peace. The mercury dime is composed of .900 fine silver and is 17.91mm in diameter. The last three years of the silver mercury dime 1943, 1944 and 1945 are encased in a sealed protective acrylic. A certificate of authenticity is included.

We are happy with these wheat ear pennies and treasure chest. They look authentic and are pretty close to what you see pictured here.
