Wonderful shade, great quality. We've had it for almost a year now and it is still holding up well. Provides great shade with subsequent cooling affect. Took pictures to show the crank mechanism which straightens out when not needed to roll the shade up. It does take some time to roll the shade up/down, but not a deal breaker for me. If you're really inconvenienced by the amount of time it takes to roll/up, then pay more money for something automated. This product does what it needs to do and well worth the price. I do recommend rolling the shade up on windy days. I was afraid the wind would tear it off because the bottoms can get unhooked from the cradles in really gusty winds. When this product first arrived I was concerned about the color. I ordered blue thinking it would be a sky blue but it is Cobalt blue, which is more like a navy blue. Since our new sofa covers and pillows were navy blue it turned out looking like we planned it, but this is not a light sky blue. Wayfair customer service was willing to exchange return the product because of the color, but it turned out fine. As you can see in these pictures the blue color looks different from different angles of the sun, but this product is a very dark blue! We attached the cloth to our pergola and then added a corrugated vinyl roof so that we had additional protection from rain (the fabric does not protect from the rain as it is woven so that moisture can come through). This screen was exactly what I needed and just in time!!!! It is perfect for my watermelon plants. They like bright direct sun but the heat wave we've had hit hard. This screen is just enough to keep them from burning. The high yesterday was '114 which is enough to roast any plant. This was perfect and let's enough Sunlight through that I can leave it up all summer long. It sez replacement canopy but yiu can just use it any way you like with any framework. I love this!!! I just ordered more. They were out of green but my plants dont care what color. So I ordered the black this time. Wish I ordered more the first time around. For gardening it Perfect!!!!!! . Linda. The Pergola is very nice. It will take two people with six foot ladders to assemble in about 3 or 4 hours. I had a few issues with it, the aluminum base only has two pre drilled holes, it should have have four to balance the weight all around. After you screw in the bolts you have visable unsightly screw holes you must look at. A boot cap would have also been nice to cover the screw at the base of each post. The aluminum is light weight and I live in the windy city,so Im going to fill the post with play sand to reduce movement. The top canopy can be a little tricky to install, the could have made it longer also. Make sure you lay all parts out on a tarp so they will not get damaged or dented up. You will need to provide your on concrete anchors and screws if needed. Rub all parts down with car wax before assembling to prevent rust later. I love this item, but be real rested when doing..
