This set is not an heirloom piece by any means, but for the sale price and our particular needs (light use, able to sit 6+ people without a huge footprint), we are pleased. Arrived quickly (3 days) in two large boxes delivered together. Assembly was very straightforward. The quality isn’t superb and the materials will chip/dent easily, but the pros outweigh the cons for us, especially since this set will not be used daily. It’s hard to find an uncomplicated set that has clean lines, easy to pull out chairs for dusting, and vacuuming/mopping floors underneath, while still looking quite formal and elegant. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the areas of the table without direct support underneath can feel a little wobbly if too much weight is leaned on them. Arrived damaged on one corner and a small dent thru the veneer on the table top. Wayfair said the manufacturer would reach out in two business days but its so heavy I dont want to handle a return. I think Ill put a coat of lacquer on it to keep my kids from scratching it. For the price this is an excellent solid table. Fits great in my small space and two wider chairs still fit side by side on the length. Table is stunning, looks as pictured. Though only legs need to be attached, it is very heavy so I suggest 2 people to assemble. The finish is unique, not shiny, more like a soft, dusty finish that is just beautiful, wish there were matching chairs, the unique finish makes it hard to match. Color is a chameleon, looks blondishlight brown by day, grayish hue at night. Mine did come with a dent on base of tabletop. Overall a good table. Very tedious to put together, but once complete, the table is very pretty. I’m still deciding what chairs to pair with the table but I do think with the black color, you could go for a farmhouse feel or an industrial vibe.
