This 4-piece set appears majestic and conveys the elegance one may find in a high-end establishment. The chenille damask jacquard is composed of shimmery gold, red/burgundy and brown tones which add to the luxurious sensation of this set. The golden bed skirt has kick box pleats which further adds to the royal feel of this set as well as the thick, gold roping surrounding this thick comforter. The coordinating, flanged shams also have this roping to complete the appearance and consist of a hidden zipper closure which further depicts how sophisticated this set is. Aside from its aesthetic qualities, it fits our 1-foot-thick queen mattress very well and is comfortable and warm. My wife said the only thing that this set is missing are decorative pillows to add more character to our dressed bed. The texture is soft with a certain amount of firmness. The fitted sheet had a slight sheen look to them. However when first pulling the sheet set out of the package it had a sour scent to it that had permeated throughout my room. I wasn't to fond of that. So it had to be washed.
