I recently purchased the Cuisinart toaster oven broiler. I've been using it now for two weeks. It has a nice brushed aluminium look on the front. The rest is a black matte finish. It has a great pullout crumb tray that's easy to clean with a dish towel. I've used it to toast, bake and broil. It works well and it's easy to clean. The toaster setting works true to the setting you set. The size of this toaster oven broiler is a bit larger then what's listed on the Wayfair page for this item. The actual size is: 16 inches wide, 12 inches deep and 8 inches high. It's like a small microwave in size. You need to leave 2 to 4 inches all the way around this toaster oven broiler to give it proper ventilation. I like this toaster oven broiler very much. I recommend buying it. I believe you'll like using it.. Starry Night. East Elmhurst, NY. 2014-10-24 21:09:43

I owned a KA for almost 30 years and it finally gave out. So I started researching different stand mixers wanting to maximize my money. Reading reviews and comparing specifications and costs, The Cuisinart SM 50 seemed to be a great choice. More power than other comparable brands, a 3 year warranty, and a pleasing appearance. I admit I had some apprehension but figured if the mixer did not meet my expectations I could return it. The mixer arrived in just a few days time securely wrapped in a foamy container in original box then a packing box. All parts were included, the mixer was not marred and in perfect condition. I chose black because my appliances are black and it’s a beautiful ebony color. I bake and cook different ethnic foods frequently so a good performing stand mixer is essential. Performance-wise, again it met my expectations. First trial run was a batch of brownies. Although there are complaints about having to scrape down underneath and along the sides, I did not have any issues. I have grown used to scraping my KA underneath any batters and along the sides for over 30 years. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot less dried ingredients along the sides of my Cusinart bowl, and it was all mixed in at the bottom. So a few scrapes along the sides that only took seconds to do, gave me a nice batter. I love the lock on the Cusinart when you need to put the head up. If you’ve ever had a very heavy mixer head come down on your hand while scraping down the sides of the bowl, you would understand why. Yes, this happened more than once with my old mixer. My favorite part of the Cusinart SM 50 is the dial. I find this to be so much easier to use than a lever. I can control the speeds easier on this mixer and not end up with dry ingredients all over me and my counter. The slow speed definitely was slower than my old mixer which gave the dry ingredients a chance to mix together stay “in” the bowl. One thing I learned with my old mixer is when doing small preparations like mixing butter and sugar together. I use softened butter and the whisk attachment. You see, Many of the complaints in the reviews are not unique to the Cusinart, the major other stand mixer has the same issues. With experience you learn workarounds with any mixer. My second test run was making Russian breads. In this case the performance of the Cusinart was outstanding. My old mixer would knock on the cupboard while kneading the dough and often times the dough wound up to the attachment and bottom of my mixer. So I would have to stop a few times, to get the dough off the spring, and ended up hand kneading the dough the rest of the time. I’m happy to say with the Cusinart it stayed on my cupboard without knocking around, and the dough did not wind up towards the top of the attachment. As another reviewer wrote, the bread dough on the sides of your mixer and underneath will all knead and pull together, if you just give it some time. My Cuisinart is well built, easier to control, heavy but lighter than KA, and outperforms my old mixer. I’m very pleased with my purchase.. Rebecca. Binghamton, NY. 2019-07-03 21:04:59
