It’s really a pretty cutting board. I wish I had gotten one that is wider, though. I use it with my Henckles knives and you need a lot of room when you are using the chef knives. This was exactly what I needed and it's sturdy as well. I did have an ulterior motive for buying this, but it had to be right. I'm in sr. housing and I just got a toaster oven/air fryer, bake, broil and do it all appliance. Which is great because I can do most of my cooking in it. However, I needed a place for it. I decided to put it right on top of the small stove I have. I needed something to put it on. I looked up stove top covers, of which there are some but they were kind of elaborate and more than I wanted to spend. Meanwhile, I found that my own cookie tray would just fit. My old cutting boards were several years old and one of them had started to crack. With the Thanksgiving Black Friday sales going on, I decided to take advantage of the sale and purchased two of the Tramontina teak cutting boards. ONE of the TWO that arrived was cracked in two and appeared to have been damaged during shipping. The damage was not the responsibility of Tramontina or Wayfair. Please see picture of damaged box. Wayfair's customer service was easy to work with and made it easy to get a refund. The second cutting arrived undamaged. I have two critiques. First, the cutting board is not perfectly flat and unleveled by about 1.5 millimeters (approximately 1/18 of an inch). The second critique I have for this cutting board is that the grooves on the edges of the cutting board were not finished and smooth. I am still giving this item 5 stars. This is a very large and beautiful cutting board that I think most people will like and therefore recommend. Despite the critiques /flaws, other cutting boards that are this size with similar quality will cost significantly more, so I think is a great value.. Hersh. Missouri City, TX. 2022-12-03 13:05:04
