This review is going to be only about what I know about this desk because I have not assembled it yet. It arrived in 2 separate boxes; box A and box B. One of the boxes is over 90lbs! I had a chance to open each box to take a look inside. I ordered the Brown and Black color. I really like the fact it is an L-shaped desk; we are going to use it in a spare bedroom for our small business. I need all of the features this desk offers: 5-tier bookshelf, 2 drawers, 1 file drawer, 59" long desktop with a depth of 21", 2 power outlets and 2 USB outlets. All of these features are perfect for running a small business and will make getting my work done more efficiently. The user manual is 50 pages long - I'm already estimating it will take at least 4 hours to assemble! And according to the manual, 2 people are needed in order to flip certain parts. The top is a heavy board that is edge and finger joint glued together and finished in veneer. The legs are also fingerjointed boards. It generally looks nice, but the finish is quite sloppy. there are some rough spots where it was not thoroughly sanded too. I purchased this table because it was on sale. Great desk with good quality and nice appearance. Good addition to my home office. Only flaw was the file drawers which are too narrow to place files perpendicular to the drawer, which is allowing use of the entire drawer. It is not by much, however, this requires the files to be placed a long the length of the drawer. When you place the hanging files, this way, the opening of the drawer is not sufficient to avoid having to bend them a little bit in order to hook onto the rails. This makes it very easy to scratch the wood on the drawer just above the file drawer. It is surprising that they didn’t make the drawer just a quarter inch wider to allow for normal hanging file orientation. If you’d like to use a tray within the drawer, the smaller drawers are also too narrow for their typical size of the trays.. Anonymous. Fri Dec 06 2024
