Inspired by the "golden age" of French decorative art, the Tavel collection portrays the late 18th century as seen from the perspective of King Gustav of Sweden and the craftsmen of the Provinces. Four posters bed. beech and knotty walnut veneered. Arched paneled headboard with baton posts. Paneled low footboard with baton posts on turned tapering legs. Cappings for high-low / low-low included.

This bed is well made, and very attractive. The finish of the darker (walnut) version is very nice and it assembles easily. The posts are optional and screw in very easily if you want that feature.. Anonymous. Tue Jul 01 2025

The design of the bed is inspired by mid-century Nakashima style carpentry. The simple honesty of the interlocking joinery makes the piece an easy fit into modern, minimalist, and contemporary styles, while the low stance hints at the informal and globally traveled foundations of the Boho aesthetic.

This was an extremely heavy bed frame and definitely made of solid wood. I gave this bed four stars because I found it extremely hard to put together as I didn’t think the instructions were very well done.
