I love the look of this tea kettle! The design was perfect for the "soft industrial" look I'm going for in my hamster wheel of a studio. The Pros: The whistle works great, it's not an intense or obnoxious sound. The flip-up part of the spout actually doesn't get hot (just warm) so you can flip it up without worrying about burning your finger. That was something that initially concerned me about tea kettles with metal spouts but I really liked the look of this one and just went for it. I'm really glad that the spout doesn't retain the same heat intensity as the body of the kettle. The handle stays cool and the kettle is easy to clean overall. The Cons: There was a rust spot forming inside and I've only had it for two weeks (photo below). I've since rinsed the inside with baking soda and apple cider vinegar and it's gone now. That's something that can have so many causes so I wasn't too upset about it, especially since it was easily rectified by a home cleaning remedy. I also have to mention that the pink color is a bit more coral color in person. I still loved the look, just wanted to mention that in case someone is really adamant about color. I suppose another con could be that I don't think the wooden handle is real wood. However, it definitely has the look & feel. It doesn't look cheap at all. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this whistling tea kettle and I'll be enjoying it for many more moments to come!. April. OAKLAND, CA. 2017-01-30 12:53:28
