I would have given this unit 5 stars if there was either a plug in socket on each side of the back wall where my computer monitors stand or if there was a hole on each side to allow the plugs to hang out the back to be plugged into the adjacent wall (and out of the field of view) This would have illuminated my cord confusion. I have to run the cords from the top shelf to plug them in I have a docking station for my laptop so all monitor cords run into it as it works as my “processor.” There should also be little digits on the side of the trays so that if you have something like a phone charging u can get the cord out of the way. I absolutely LOVE this desk! I debated for a long time about getting it. I did not want to spend quite so much on a desk, but I also wanted something pretty, something that would look good in my guest room office, but also be very practical to use everyday. I bought a different desk first - a desk that comes in a million pieces of compressed particleboard that took 2 hours to put together. It was ok, but the desk was wobbly, the drawer fronts never were aligned properly, and it didnt look like furniture. I am SO glad I returned that one and so glad I spent a little extra to get this beautiful piece of furniture! The only assembly I had to do was attach the legs which was simple. Once assembled this desk is rock solid! NO wobble, drawers slide smoothly, the insides of the drawers are even nice! The velvet lined keyboard traydrawer is a really nice touch too - whatever your preference, the middle drawer makes an excellent keyboard tray (thats how Im using it) but it could also be used as a drawer. The surfaces of the desk are smooth white (no wood grain) and there is a small recessed notch around the edges of the desk, which adds to the beauty of the desk (and acts as a crumb catcher - so a can of compressed air will be very useful cleaning that up!) The desk has a finished back and looks good on all sides. The cable management area underneath is a great place to hide cords - I used some command strip hooks to keep things from hanging down. This is worth the money and worth the wait - once I finally decided to buy, it was out of stock so I checked back daily and got lucky with one being available after a couple of weeks. The ONLY bad thing... The white surface of this desk is easily marked by anything that slides across it, so Im trying to be REALLY careful to keep it new looking!
