Spent a while trying to find the right bronze pole and then had to decide whether I wanted a photo cell andor convenience outlet. I ended up with this pole with a convenience outlet and installed a smart bulb to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. I was replacing an existing lamp post so I already had power run to the location. The hardest part of the install was digging and cutting through all the roots. I used an expanding foam meant for deck posts instead of concrete so once the hole was dug, it was a super easy install. We’ll see over time how long the pole lasts but it looks and feels of high quality although it is fairly thin and lightweight. For what I needed this pole is perfect!. Caleb. I took the picture today...after several years of ownership. My son and I installed it--really simple, just a few hours of work. It's been through the worst winters, nasty windstorms and still looks perfect. As I recall, there was a small shipping-damage problem (not the manufacturer's issue) with one of the pieces... but they fixed it immediately by sending a replacement part. Many neighbors and family members have commented on the distinctive appearance of this post. This lamp post looks beautiful but remember- you have to order the interior pole separately. I did not realize that and had to order it after the post arrived, but customer service was so helpful in assisting me to get the right interior pole for this post.. Michelle.
