Gourmet Settings' handmade flatware sets appeal to all the senses. Heat-forged from 18/10 stainless steel, the flatware boasts an 8mm cylinder handle that is exceptionally strong, yet perfectly balanced in the hand. With a stunning polished steel top and matte black handle, the flatware, like its geographic namesake, invokes a raw connection between earth and water. Classical flatware design and modern dishwasher-safe construction make this flatware the perfect juxtaposition of meticulous craftsmanship and everyday convenience.

I ordered 2 sets of the 20-piece set. Each set is a service for 4 and during the holidays I need at least a service for 8. The set is just fabulous for my rustic setting. I have both Bear & Moose dinnerware and this silverware compliments it perfectly. The stem part reminds me of a wood twig. It is dark brown in color with a slight hint of black. It is not perfectly applied and has a distressed look to it. The butter knife has more of a wiggle or twist to the handle because of the length, that adds more character to the entire set. The set is heavy and on the larger size. I have a picture with my everyday silverware and you can see that each piece is slightly larger. I don’t us the tablespoon in my regular set and certainly won’t in this set, my mouth is not that big!!! To me they are weighted just right and fit pretty good in my hand. My husband was excited when he saw the size of the tablespoon…he does have a large mouth! I usually wash my silverware by hand so I do not foresee a rusting problem that others have had. It does state clearly in the description NOT TO USE LEMON and that would include dish soap. I am extremely pleased with this set, both in looks and weight. . Bonnie. . 2020-05-14 09:39:14

I am purging all my old flatware, so I wanted to get some new sets. I have been seeing flatware that looks like this with the long stem and modern look (and very rounded spoons) in gold or rose gold - there are about half a dozen companies I've seen on social media with these - and I've been really wanting them for a while. My husband hates them, so I can say that people probably either love these or hate them. I LOVE them. Like I said, I've really been wanting a set that looks like this for a while so I am very happy with them. They look beautiful and have a really nice solid weight to them so they both look and feel expensive and fancy! To be honest, they are probably a little bit on the expensive side if you ask me, but they are comparable or cheaper than some of the alternative brands I see online elsewhere. The one slight complaint I would have is that the finish of the metal has a weird mouth-feel. I think that sounds odd but it's hard to describe. It's like a stronger metallic taste than other flatware due to the finish or coat that's on it which I'm not crazy about, obviously, if I'm trying to eat food and not taste the utensil.... maybe I'm just being sensitive and most people might not notice it, but I would definitely take this into consideration if you're picky about stuff like that..
