This is a beautiful lamp but just don’t feel like it worked in our space. The cord is black and against our off white walls was just too harsh of a contrast. Perfect. Plenty of light over the dining room table. I used the shorter length threaded bar. I assembled it myself. 78 year old grandma. I used both the bishop hooks and the silver hooks because I wanted the cord to be somewhat snug to the ceiling. I like that I can use the diffuser or not. Sometimes I want a very bright light over my dining room table because I tend to do crafting there.
