It's a beautiful crib but it came with some scratches. This is our first baby too. We want the best for our son. The website recommended the wrong sized mattress to us so I have to get it sent back. It’s nice that it’s portable and it looks nice. The wheels are cheap plastic though - one busted when we were gonna thru the doorway. Not sure if they even sell wheels individually or if we just lost the portability feature. Also, the instructions thing is true: they’re laminated to the bottom! Last thing - it seems to be held outright with a cheap little hook that won’t even stay into place and it makes me wonder if it could collapse if my dog ran into or something. All and all I give it a 3...it’s nice and you get what you pay for, but if you’re a worry-wart kind of mom it doesn’t put your mind to ease I will tell you that it doesn’t seem like the safest contraption I’ve ever seen LOL and most portable cribs have metal wheels, but none on the market fold up as tight and conveniently.. Looks nice with my cribs from the same manufacturer in my twins nursery. I don't se how it converts to a nightstand any better than another diaper changing station though. I have a four star rating because the paint peels after inevitable accidents. I'm not sure that I would have chose a model with slots either as my babies grab them and get limbs stuck in them.. LOVE this bed so much that my daughter-in-law's Mom borrowed it then bought her one too. Perfect to go through doors, easy to fold up & store, can use as a changing table/bassinet/crib, perfect size for babies under 2. With My grandson, I'm just now getting a regular crib only because he's too long for it now.
