This would be a beautiful piece if not for the fact that there were issues with the way it was packaged. The legs, packed in a box inside of the cabinet, became lodged in the top drawer, wedged so tightly in such a manner that it could not be shaken loose and the drawer could not be opened. The method of packaging the cabinet should be changed. The drawer was jammed shut with dislodged styrofoam and the box of legs were jammed tightly above the frame of the drawer. It was impossible to open it without some damage to the drawer occurring. Besides the above unfortunate occurrence, there was also a bit of damage that the cabinet came with, including a scratch on the top and a ding in the wood on the side. Damage to the front edges of the drawers occurred from trying to wedge the top drawer open far enough (millimeter by millimeter) in order to gouge the block of styrofoam out, bit by bit, so the legs would be free to drop down far enough that the drawer would open. It would have been a beautiful cabinet had not these problems occurred. The drawers are well-made. The top drawer is lined on the bottom. I am disappointed because of the unfortunate packaging and the damage. Advice for the furniture company I have had this happen once before with another company. Never pack anything into a top drawer! If you must pack it in a drawer, put it in the bottom drawer (if there is an open space between the drawers) so the top drawer can be removed and the contents in the bottom drawer revealed and adjusted so it can be opened.. I wanted to show you the white cabinet, which has a solid cream-white finish. It does not have a distressed finish, making it exactly what I was looking for. The construction is very solid and the cabinets align well. The interior shelf is not adjustable. The cabinet was packaged securely with pieces of foam protecting the edges, corners, and sides. I was glad it was packed so well, because I could not be gentle with the box when I had to get it up three flights of stairs by myself (very heavy and bulky)! I am excited to use this beautiful piece for years to come. The scale of the piece is just right for my 10-by-15-foot studio apartment — amazing. This cabinet is perfect for my Granboard 3s! Old World Mahogany color is great. Material quality is pretty good, except that one corner of the MDF moulding at the top of the cabinet arrived damaged and smashed in. I was able to do an acceptable repair by reshaping it with a small hammer and some wood stain. Would have given 5 stars if product did not arrive damaged.. Chuck. . 2022-09-09 10:28:05
