This dresser is good and serves its purpose. The farmhouse design is a real draw and is executed beautifully with the wood design and metal detail. Overall, the style is very country and compliments my other bedroom furniture. It was fairly easy to assemble. The instructions are clear and the pre drilled holes lined up perfectly for every piece. There are a lot of pieces though! Still easy enough to assemble for one person! The reason I can’t give it five stars is because in the product details it mentions that the drawers are so deep, they would easy fit pillows and extra blankets. I would disagree. One pillow would take up an entire drawer, and maybe you could fit a couple of sheets, but there’s no way it would hold a normal sized blanket. Also, the finish shows that the “wood” is more of a laminate and doesn’t appear to be a solid wood… some laminates would pass, but this is more obvious that it’s not true wood. However, my sons whole wardrobe does fit in nicely. The drawers move smoothly in and out which is always something I look for in a dresser! We purchased this for our toddler’s bedroom. We were looking for something sturdy, that could grow with him that is made from SOLID WOOD ... after trolling the internet and several sites, this dresser won and we are thankful to have picked it. It was delivered in two shipments and was heavy to lift into the bedroom. We chose to put it together ourselves. It took somewhere around 5-6 hours to put together. The directions were in the format of pictures only but basically intuitive. I rated it a 5 because, although time consuming to assemble, the color, dimensions, material and aesthetic look were perfect for our needs. I am including pics so you can get a feel for look, wood thickness and finished product. One note about assembly that the manufacturer may or may not agree with ... in the tips/how-to section they recommend not using a drill. I would start many screws with a manual screwdriver, but if I didn’t drive them in with the drill my hands would be killing me. I set the devil to the slowest speed possible and went very slowly so as to not strip the screws or crack the wood. We are planning on lining the drawers since the base of the drawers is just plywood. They are 15” deep and 24” wide in case you want to purchase any kind of lining.. Debra. The reviews are correct in that it takes a while to put this thing together. But who cares? Get yourself a ratcheting screwdriver, put on some music, put a few cold ones on ice, and take your time. Slow and steady wins the race. It took me about 3 1/2 hours to put this together, and I loved the end result when it was done. No particle board garbage here. Even the back was real wood. Definitely better quality than what you'll get at furniture stores for the same price. I included a picture of the before and also the after. If you're hesitating, STOP! I’m giving it 4 stars because it was a PAIN to put together. Hours with an Allen wrench and they’ve made the washers plastic, so unless it’s perfectly centered it just won’t go in. That being said, I had read the reviews and wasn’t expecting it to be a piece of cake. The dresser itself is nice. Heavy and not wobble once assembled. The drawers handles were rusty and boring, so I ordered some inexpensive ones from elsewhere for 10. It’s a good find, as I had looked for a long time to find one to find this exact space perfectly.
