As a person who has wall to wall carpet and allergies, I go through my fair share of vacuums so I decided to take the plunge for a Dyson after my third vacuum broke. I am not partial to a specific brand but I have been using Bissell for the last ten years due to previously having a dog. This vacuum is light weight and has pretty good suction, I can actually see the difference in carpet fibers after vacuuming. My only concern is longevity - I have used it 3 times in the last two days and it seems to get heated in the area where you hold the handle. I do vacuum often as in daily, sometimes multiple times a day especially on high pollen days so only time will tell if it lasts.
