Everything they claim plus more!I was looking for the best underlayment product money can buy and found this product. It had been recommended by a friend that used it and a professional installer also insisted upon it. I also took the time to read the reviews and I called the factory for additional information. I had a previous 1000 square foot carpeted cement floor and the carpet needed replacement. we liked the look of vinyl but knew we would need a good underlayment. ECF is that product and more. Waterproof with a vapor barrier, cushioning effect but not spongy. The easiest product to ever put down. Lays flat. a unique way of attaching to each other making for a perfect fit and easy to cut and shape where shaping is needed. It seems a bit pricey but consider the long term use it provides it is really not meaningful. Having the best underlayment is the most important consideration when putting down any flooring. I wasn’t prepared for how enormous these were! I got a pink & a red for my kids for Christmas. They arrived compacted, so you have to pull the material loose & unzip it a bit to break up the compacted foam block inside. That was a huge pain, but I get why they ship like this. Once the foam is broken up, you have to flip it & roll it to fluff the foam. You can also add more later, but you won’t need it! These will easily fit 2 adults comfortably. Also, word of advice - I recommend unpacking these in the room they’re intended for. I had a hard time getting these upstairs after unpacking.
