First issue: One box does not cover 54 sq. feet. It is more along the lines of 15 sq. feet. It is close to five dollars a square foot at 15 square feet instead of a little over a dollar for 54 square feet. Second issue: Flooring is shipped in original packing which does protect it from damage from shipping. Only two of my planks were not chipped or cracked. So far I am very impressed. Bought the grey scale for our basement. Product looks great, sticks nicely, easy to work with. My 13 year old and I laid about 140sqft in just under 3 hours. My recommendations are to definitely do a good job of prepping the surface. We did a serious scrape and vacuum. Then mopped with simple green and then laid down am adhesion primer. Everything they claim plus more!I was looking for the best underlayment product money can buy and found this product. It had been recommended by a friend that used it and a professional installer also insisted upon it. I also took the time to read the reviews and I called the factory for additional information. I had a previous 1000 square foot carpeted cement floor and the carpet needed replacement. we liked the look of vinyl but knew we would need a good underlayment. ECF is that product and more. Waterproof with a vapor barrier, cushioning effect but not spongy. The easiest product to ever put down. Lays flat. a unique way of attaching to each other making for a perfect fit and easy to cut and shape where shaping is needed. It seems a bit pricey but consider the long term use it provides it is really not meaningful. Having the best underlayment is the most important consideration when putting down any flooring. ( I’ve added a before picture and two after pictures ) These are beautiful ! I am in love with my new bathroom floor. They are a great inexpensive alternative to having real wood flooring installed . I had about 24 square feet to cover and bought 3 boxes . It was the perfect amount , I was left with 6 extra tiles . Although these look great in my bathroom I definitely would not recommend them in bigger rooms such as your kitchen or living room . Cutting the pieces exactly to match around the toilet and vent cover is a little difficult and definitely not perfect , but because it’s such a small room I was able to get away with the little mistakes I made . I would also recommend to start in the middle of the room when installing . I started from the bathtub and realized half way through the tub was not a straight line which made some of my tiles not lay perfectly next to eachother and I probably had to do a lot more cutting than what I would have done if I started from the middle . Overall I am sooo pleased and will be ordering more for my master bathroom . If your looking for a way to spruce up a small room on a budget , these are the way to go ! Thank you so much !!!!.
