This thing is gorgeous but its HEAVY. The corners are also sharp. I wouldnt want it to fall on a child or myself for that matter. It doesnt light up and Im fine with that. This one is heavier and from the side its nicer looking. Personally, I like the cheaper lighter clocks for hanging. I was disappointed to find the silver ring on the outside of the clock was plastic. Especially at that price but I found out why it cost so much. It sets itself.
