I’m very impressed with how this turned out. It was a lot of pieces to put together but looks great in the end. I got the blue color and love how it looks. The color changing options on the fireplace are fun to play around with. I’m a little disappointed in the heat feature. Thought it would heat up my living room better than it does. I also read some complaints about a smell. I do notice a slight smell to it but I think it’s just because it is new. It’s also very mild and doesn’t bother me at all. The unit itself is beautiful... getting one without flaws is another story. Our first unit arrived with multiple broken pieces. In usual Wayfair fashion, their customer service department was a pleasure to deal with, and they immediately sent out another unit. The second unit was also damaged. Rather than have Wayfair send out a third, we called the manufacturer (Real Flame). We informed them that this was our second attempt, and that piece #12, the mantle, was damaged. Real Flame said that they could send out just the mantle piece. We received it, extremely well wrapped in LOTS of bubble wrap, LOTS of styrofoam and in the same large box that they use for sending out the entire unit. It's hard to believe that they spent the time to wrap this third mantle up without looking at it first. It had cracks, missing paint, and they did not sand the wood filler from the obviously broken corners that they attempted to fix. This third mantle was in terrible shape. We will keep the second mantle and make the repairs ourselves. We are not too pleased with having to make cosmetic repairs to something that cost us $1,390.99.. Marc. This fireplace is exactly what we were looking for. The length works great to be able to put our new 65 TV above without it overlapping. The flames change colors and size so you can choose whichever combination you like best. Our living room is fairly large (18x13) and it doesnt really heat it up very much. My husband put it together pretty quickly and was happy with how each piece had directions and an arrow sticker on it (I added a picture of the back). I’m giving the stones 5 stars, however the delivery process from Wayfair gets a 3, barely. We waited almost 2 months for these stones to arrive. Wayfair needs to figure out an expedited shipping process for their customers who have been waiting more than 30 days for a product. Although we got a credit, the whole process was super annoying!. I am really pleased with the Real Flame fireplace we ordered from Wayfair. This was a big purchase and after I ordered I had a brief moment of worry that something would happen during delivery or a piece would be delivered broken and we would go down this long path of trying to remedy it. None of that happened. Upon delivery, the box was torn on the side slightly, but the product was packaged so well, that everything inside was delivered in mint condition. The only thing missing was a remote for the fireplace unit (I called Real Flame and what a treat it was to call and have a person answer without going through a whole line of automated options. I called on a friday to let them know about the remote, and it was here on the following Monday. Amazing!). This fireplace is very well made and in my opinion, the best unit out there considering it isn't built into my home. The flame looks real and its beautiful to look at.
