They can be installed in vinyl patio doors with U-shaped tracks but may need shimming to secure in place. To determine the correct panel height measure from the deepest point in a lower track to the highest point in the upper track. This is a solid door, and I really like how it looks on the front of our house. The screen area is large, which gives a good view from the inside of the house, but it does make the door a little more flexible than Im used to. It wobbles just a bit when you open it.
