My husband is in the construction business and does a lot of woodworking projects as a hobby. Even so, it took the two of us almost three hours to assemble. It was easy to assemble with 2 people. You almost need 2 people once is starts to be mostly together. That pressed wood can be heavy. It has that cheap backing but it all fit together well. We were able to adjust the doors so they closed nicely and then to get the seam between the doors to be small and straight. It took almost 2 hours. Product is nice, assembly is pretty difficult. I have put together many pieces of furniture and there are many parts of this assembly that could go wrong. Loose/ partially assembled boards can break with flipping the unit over per the instructions. I needed myself and another person and some empty boxes just to ensure nothing broke when moving around to assemble. Be very careful when assembling this unit, instructions are pretty straightforward, but not for the faint of heart. Here’s very detailed review this armoire looks so nice and sturdy. All pieces are hard accept the back is like a strong card board this is why I put 4 stars plus the third picture show a small crack on one piece upon opening. It’s big inside and deep will give me enough storage. It took me 3 hours to assemble it. I was able to do it alone but got some extra hands only when needed to be moved or ehen needed to put it up. The pictures were ok to put together, but at one point I realized I had part of the bottom box wall upsidedown and this was preventing me from being able to screw the base part to the shoe rack box part. I figured it out easily enough but someone may not notice the lineup is wrong like I did and have the same problem. Also, it is almost impossible to screw in one of the top bolts.
