My husband is in the construction business and does a lot of woodworking projects as a hobby. Even so, it took the two of us almost three hours to assemble. Third one of these that I have purchased. I found them easy to assemble, and they have a sturdy structure - love that they are solid wood (except for the backing). Have stained all with Minwax wood finish oil-based ‘Colonial Maple’ Semi-transparent interior stain. They look great ! Though the boxes had encountered some bumps and bruises, the contents within each of my shipments remained safe from harm - I would attribute that to the solid packaging. Just what I needed! I put 2 of them in my craft room and my room looks neat as a pin. They are on carpet so I didn't use the legs, more stability. I kept the legs in case I put them on flooring. Product is nice, assembly is pretty difficult. I have put together many pieces of furniture and there are many parts of this assembly that could go wrong. Loose/ partially assembled boards can break with flipping the unit over per the instructions. I needed myself and another person and some empty boxes just to ensure nothing broke when moving around to assemble. Be very careful when assembling this unit, instructions are pretty straightforward, but not for the faint of heart. The pictures were ok to put together, but at one point I realized I had part of the bottom box wall upsidedown and this was preventing me from being able to screw the base part to the shoe rack box part.
