I decided on this cabinet because of the positive reviews, and am so glad I did! I purchased two, and they are well built, there was no damage, and assembly was straightforward. My son (who is a licensed builder) put the first one together in 1 hour, and the second in 30 minutes. Using a power tool for the screws made it go quite quickly. My son was quite familiar with these types of hinges so didn’t have any trouble, but there are instructions as to how to adjust these to get proper closure of the doors. Thanks also to Prepac for including extra hardware - I have put together similar items in which much time was wasted looking for similar nails or screws because not enough was included. Looks great! It was easy to assemble but hard to do the screws. The paint is a bit easy to mess up if your screwsscrewdriver slips in those tight areas Also, the doors are very slightly misaligned so they don’t close perfectly. I suspect that it can be fixed by raisinglowering the leveling thingies at the bottom but one had to flip the whole thing after it’s all done to do that and that didn’t seem like worth the effort. Looks great and very solid construction. Would definitely purchase again. Description says real wood and it is real wood not particle or press board. Pine with a baked on finish which looks fantastic. Assembly is simple and the directions are straightforward. Everything aligned perfectly and it took about 45 min to assemble both boxes. I worked in little increments due to time constraints, but it would probably have only took 2-3 hours if I did so consecutively. I have four cats that all have special requirements in their diet, so this makes it so much easier than the set up I had before to separate the food and see how much is left.
