This a great lamp/magnifier. The only change I would make would be to add wheels. The base is heavy, which makes it hard to move the lamp around. The lamp itself is large and, unless you are setting it up in a permanent location, it could be cumbersome to move around, especially without wheels. I will buy a base with wheels for it.. Giselle. I create special lace made from very fine thread and attached to bobbins. My teacher recommended LED lamps for this type of lace because fluorescent light moves. I couldn't find one with enough lights until I found this one. It has good light and is very stable. It has good dimmer controls and magnification. This is an excellent lamp..
