Classical design, simple but pretty, easy to clean and store, good weight--this was a great value for an everyday-use flatware set. I read some complaints here before I bought them about dishwasher-spotting on the knives but...a) i haven't found this to be the case, even using my ancient 20+ year old dishwasher; b) unless you have colored plastic or round handles, what flatware doesn't spot? c) The manufacturer recommends hand-drying them at the end of the dry cycle ends if you're having company over & want perfection but, d) for daily use, my family wouldn't care even if they did spot. Ever hear of sock heaven You wonder where they went and are just completely gone, well this is the case for flatware in our home, they evidently departed the kitchen for another life!With a full house, my flatware dwindled down. All joking aside, this is my second set of Harmony by Mikasa. I ordered them to replace the missing pieces I bought a few years ago. The set is beautiful and no photos, even mine, show what the flatware truly looks like in person. The handles are a mixture of satin and mirror stainless which makes it hard to see in photos as the mirror stainless is just a thin line on the right side and forks into the tear drop at the bottom. I would give it a 4.5 as my only disappointment was that the teaspoon and salad fork seemed a lot lighter in weight compared to the rest of the set. I wouldn't think their smaller size should matter that much as it was very obvious to me. The rest of it was quite hefty and balanced, especially the knife which made cutting a breeze.
