Great sandbox! My kids ❤️❤️ it! It took less than an hour to put together-very simple and clear instructions. We only filled with 500lbs of sand to start but it seems to be enough. It was easy to find sand at our local hardware store for just a few s a bag. We specifically bought this sandbox because it also came with a cover. Where we live it tends to have gusty winds, lots of humidity and occasional rain. Cover works great! I did a lot of research before deciding on this sandbox. I was considering boxes that had sunshades, but decided to monitor the sun cover in the backyard for shade at particular points in the day, rather than buying something poorly made strictly for the sunshade. `The cover and seats were what sold me on it. It is deeper than the average turtle sandbox, which makes it much better for my 2-year old that likes to dig. It looks like we'll get lots of wear out of the box, as the 8-year old next door is jealous. We filled it with the play sand from Home Depot, which has a bigger grain and is easy to brush off. The seats are sturdy enough for adults. The area where we set it up is not totally flat, but all seems to be working out. We haven't had it too long so I can't speak to durability, but it appears to be a well made product that will stand the test of time (I hate buying cheap stuff multiple times...I prefer to buy quality once). And it's one thing that he doesn't have at daycare that he has at home, which makes it special. The most time consuming part of setting it up was getting the bags of sand to the backyard.
