Awesome cat tree that my cats adore!!! The tree arrived quickly after I ordered it, within a couple days. The box was heavy, but my husband was able to get it in the house by himself. The tree was a bit different then I thought it would be. After you build the main body the brown part is actually like a giant sock that covers it from top to bottom. This is actually quite nice and the cats seem to like it better than the traditional type tree. The top bed is also removable and can be washed. The only downside is it took quite a while to build. It was a much more intensive build than I thought it would be. This is not bad, you just need to be prepared. I thought it was nearly perfect in the design but I think one of the attributes is not ideal. The hammock in the middle is kinda low to the platform below it, making it kinda difficult for the cat the get from the platform to the left of the hammock to the next one, slightly higher on the right. I wish the hammock was a board or higher up. Other than that, it’s really good. My friend and me built it in under an hour. I got it because it’s just about 18” below the tops of my kitchen cabinets. So she can climb the tower then traverse the cabinet tops. I have been thinking about removing the hammock and replacing it with a board. We shall see. This is a nice, tall cat tree with a lot of different places for cats to climb, scratch, and lounge. At over 70 inches tall, it gives cats a great vertical space to explore. The many perches make it easy for them to move up and down the tower. My cat is a large, 16-pound boy with a pretty big frame, so I was initially concerned that the enclosed condos might be too small for him. But he was able to get into both of them comfortably and clearly enjoys having the cozy hideaways. The openings looked small at first glance, but they work fine even for a bigger cat. The structure feels sturdy and stable once assembled, and the sisal-covered posts and ramp give plenty of scratching surfaces. The gray covering is more like a soft blanket than carpet and looks nice in the room. My box didn’t come with printed assembly instructions. I was able to pull up the product photo online and use that as a guide, and the pieces were straightforward enough that it wasn’t difficult to figure out. Overall, this floor to ceiling cat tree is a nice addition to my space which gives my girl an advantage to be high when she is curious to see what i'm doing; this is her main purpose for using the tree. She is a soon to be, fifteen year old, healthy cat that is agile enough to jump to and from the second tear and make her way with ease to the top . I believe this is worth mentioning since not all senior or geriatric cats will be able to scale each level going up depending on her or his health; such as if your cat has arthritis. Beside her using it daily as an advantage point to see what i'm doing she also uses it each day as a scratcher. Since each level conveniently comes with sisel columns she has been able to claw and stretch which assists in saving one side of my couch from additional damage. Her paws have gotten stuck a couple of times but she manages to unhinge them. I wouldnt suggest pulling the stockings that go over the top adjustment stilt to far down since my senior has gotten her claws stuck in them when i had them as low as they can go. She was able to, with extra effort, unhinge her claws when this happened but it can still be a safety issue if the stocking covers aren't adjusted correctly. There are two other mentions that were not ideal. The first is more of a personality and i'm sure age related preference which is that my cat does not use the two “upholstered beds" (pockets) since i believe she is weary they lack solid underneath support. She avoids getting in them reducing the platforms used to eight. The second issue is structural. This cat tree is advertised to adjust from 87.7 inches to 114 inches. However, there are a few inches, which i believe are from 102-105 inches where it can be very tedious to tighten from ceiling to floor. My floor to ceiling is within this inch range so i had to get creative by figuring out how to adjust the tree so that it has a tight fit. I had to screw the rod almost all the way in to the last sisel column then place the flat tightening ceiling disk on it which worked well. Even with that tedious issue i was able to ensure the tree is secure and can readjust where i place the cat tree at any time. I've now had the tree for about a month and im happy with this purchase. It seems to be well liked by its user and main critic, my beautiful senior girl cat. Without her approval the purchase would have been pointless. This all wood cat tree was very easy to assemble in 10 minutes. No tools needed. Just screw in the threaded pole and 2 of beds tight. Plus vacuum it and you are done. The reason i gave it 4 stars because IT IS NOT CHOCOLATE BROWN as pictured which is what I wanted. It is a med beige tan, see photo. Disappointing but I am keeping it and my two cats love it. This cat tree is wonderful! The box was heavy! It was so easy to assemble. It’s very sturdy, I’ve had it for almost three years and it is so stable even with two “kittens” who are now over a year old (and very hardy eaters) chasing each other up and down it. I have no concerns about it falling over at all. The best part is NO CARPET! I hate carpet on cat trees, it gets so gross and I always ended up throwing them away after a year! This tree has paid for itself as it’s so easy to dust or vacuum! I’ve saved money by not buying a new cheap one every year.
