The beams look fabulous on our Familyroom ceiling! I knew they would. I had been going back forth whether to do real wood beams or faux. I’m glad that I went with the faux beams. You can’t tell the difference. These beams look just like real wood with the different variations in the wood. I highly recommend these. Worth every penny and FREE shipping! I recommend ordering extra as a number of our beams were cracked, warped or not squarely cut. Lag bolts and screws etc. are included. The wood colors varied so much on all three sides of a single beam that when two are butted together to make a 16’ run they don’t truly look like a single, solid length. There was some time spent on mixing and matching for best look from every angle. I will be buying the beam straps (back ordered) which hopefully will hide the joint seams and disguise the color change from one beam to the other. Be prepared that if your ceiling isn’t flat, there will be gaps to fill there as well. Having adjustable stanchions is very helpful to hold the beam up while screwing them in.
