I purchased five of these panels to add interest to our very long and very boring fence. Buyers should note that the panels are designed to be mounted on posts attached to the ends to make a freestanding panel. It took us quite a while to work out how to mount them to the fence. We initially tried to come up with a way to have concealed screws inside the frame, but this turned out to be nearly impossible because the pattern makes the screws inaccessible. Finally we came up with this solution 1) Determined the spacing and installed lug head screws on the fence at the center top point of each panel. Used a level to make sure they were even. 2) pre drilled 4 holes on each side of the frame, equally spaced, and one at the bottom center. Made them a little bigger than the screws to allow for expansion 3) notched the inside top of the frame, and hung the panel on it. Used a level to square it up. 4) used long black screws to attach the panel to the fence through predrilled holes. Do not screw the panels tight, leave some room for thermal expansion. Used this to complete a screen around our HVAC and backup generator as required by the township. This is expensive compared to other screen options. However, this screen is much more substantial than any of the alternatives I've seen. Others are perhaps 1/8" thick, bend like cardboard, and can be cut with a utility knife. This is almost 1/2" thick, almost impossible to bend, and requires a table saw or circular saw to cut. 10 Panels-40in(H) with Gate

I got 20 of the garden fence panels (without the gate) and added them to my front courtyard (as a cheaper alternative to a wrought iron fence around it. I like that these are easy to install and require very little effort, just a weighted rubber mallet and a couple of people. I also like the price point and the fact that the panels provide only a couple inches of spacing between fence poles so cats and other critters can't easily get through or up them. However, the finished look is very noticeably panel-like and doesn't look like a single fence structure.. which is kind of a bummer and kind of goes against the desired look I had for my completed courtyard. I'm still trying to decide if I like these enough to keep them. Sigh. But, they're an OK temporary solution for those needing a quick and easy alternative. They are good quality and sturdy too..
