We haven’t put it to the test with an actual fire yet, but the first impression is great. Solid construction, fairly simple installation, and looks great with our whitewashed brick. Our fireplace opening is 41” wide and the large fits perfect. I especially like the smoked glass doors, as they hide the dirty looking firebox. We’ll see how it holds up this winter!. Heather. The legs attach easily to the header with nuts and bolts. Mitered hanger board assembly is included for easy installation as well as a 3-piece mitered scribe molding set to hide any gaps after installation. This mantel has a 1-1/2 in. projection off of the wall leaving a nice pocket behind the mantel to accommodate your tile, stone, marble, etc. Look for the pearl inlay that graces the right-hand side of the shelf as proof that you have received an authentic Pearl Mantel. Paint grade only. Comes painted white and is ready to install.
