UPDATE..... Wayfair made good on the problem that I had with my floor lamp and sent me a replacement lamp pole/base. I truly love this lamp so much and it goes so well with my decor that a refund was not an option for me because I wanted another one or the replacement part. I am back to being one very happier customer. Oh my gosh, I have to edit my 5 star review to a now a 2 star. I have only owned it for less than a month and I went to move it today from my living room and into my dining room. As soon as I picked it up by the column with two hands, the base broke completely off of the column. It's like the once assembled you cannot lift it as the top 3/4 of the column is heavier than the base causing it to separate. I am devastated as I just love this lamp. This was my original review....This is a gorgeous lamp and it was super easy to assemble. The linen looking shade compliments the lamp perfectly and I couldn’t wait to buy a bulb to turn it on. Wonderful design - I love the shelves, and the shade gives lots of nice quality light. Assembly is very straightforward - the instructions explain things well, and there’s really no way to mess it up. However, the way some of the pieces fit together is just a bit off. I ordered two of these lamps, and on one the lampshade doesn’t sit straight no matter which way I turn it around and try to make it sit straight (see the close-up photo). On the other lamp, the lampshade sits perfectly (see the full-length photo) but some of the long pieces that connect between the shelves jut out a teensy bit further than they should (probably can’t tell in the photo, you have to look close to notice). OK, so this unique modern lamp is very interesting. When I selected it, I didn’t read in details about it. I just loved the shape and aesthetic for my contemporary modern living room. It arrived with super fast shipping. It’s tall. However, assembly is tedious. I wouldn’t say it’s difficult assembly. I would say it’s tedious. There are multiple strips that you have to place in these little brackets you have to be cautious of how you assemble it which direction the brackets are facing. I think the intention is that they all faced the same direction however I flipped the bottom bracket direction um to give it a different shape at the bottom and I actually like it a lot. There are a few rubber bands to it that I don’t quite understand other than to prevent the shade pieces from spreading. It has three modes, cool, white, neutral, white, and warm white. I definitely like the warm white tone. It’s not too bright. It’s a very interesting piece. I think overall it’ll be somewhat of a challenge to keep it clean and how to dust it will be a tedious. I’ve pictured here the bracket where you insert the tabs of each individual shade strip but also what the shade strip looks like so if you can imagine having to place these one at a time around the complete thing, it does take quite a bit of time so prepare yourself ahead for about an hour to an hour and a half assembly time solo.
