Table is hinged to fold in for a more intimate space for two or out for a family of four. Either way is perfect for your home.

Very heavy duty table. Looks nice. When not fully extended the side metal pieces stick out a bit. I would have preferred them to be flush. This table has been so valuable to us in an extremely small home. We are able to put both sides down and tuck it in while still having a larger than average space for two people to sit. The finish is very high end, and does not look cheap at all. The table is sturdy, and very easy to assemble. it is larger than most fold down tables, which makes it more functional.
