You definitely need two People to put up this bed and pay attention to where the pieces go as one mistake can cause you to take down a good portion of the bed and start over. Do yourself a favor and invest in the amartisan metric and SAE piece for your electric drill so you don’t have to mess around with those tiny Allen wrenches that come in the boxes. Overall my son loves it and this is what he’s been wanting for a couple months now. There were a little bit of confusion on the beginning steps only because you have to really pay attention to the whole positions. After you get past that part, it’s really easy. I put this together by myself, but one person or two would be better because sometimes you need help lifting something. Assembly wasn't to difficult, but did take about 4 hours to put it together by myself. Hardest part was getting the bed slats that go under the mattress to line up with both sides of the frame to go into the holes, but once you figure it out it's smooth sailing. Overall, very solid and sturdy. Stairs are a nice touch over a ladder and the little shelf cubbies make a good place for small stuff. The space underneath is a perfect fit for a 78" couch.
